Overview: Data Scientist / Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and possess a strong drive to deliver top-notch results. Collaborating with teams across the US and India, the Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive business insights and outcomes. The focus of the work will be manipulating large data sets related to health care practitioner prescription and claims data, among other data sources. The current team is made up of over 30 team members with a mix of data science, application development, business analysis, and quality assurance skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to inform business decision-making.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Utilize Python, SQL, and AWS to extract, clean, and manipulate data.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in data science to ensure best practices.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of work, paying close attention to detail.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a data science role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for the quality of work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different geographical locations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Apache Spark, Scala, and PySpark.
